Hey, I'm Laia.

I’m a multidisciplinary UX Designer with a background in design engineering, data analytics, and user experience. I studied Design Engineering for my undergraduate degree, followed by a Master’s in Big Data Analytics at the University of Central Missouri. While there, I also worked as a teaching assistant and helped redesign the university’s TV channel website and newsletters—an experience that sparked my interest in user-centered design.

I then completed a postgraduate program in UX Design at the University of Texas, which helped me formally transition into the UX field.

Most recently, I’ve worked in the U.S. as a BIM Structural Technician, collaborating on large-scale water infrastructure projects in Kansas City.

After 7 years of living, studying, and working in the U.S., I’m now based in Barcelona and actively looking for UX design roles where I can bring clarity to complexity and create thoughtful, data-informed user experiences.
